I talk a lot about confidence and one of my secret weapons that allows me to authentically be myself on a daily basis is my HEALTH. You might be thinking what does “health” have to do with confidence? How you look and feel has everything to do with how you see yourself and how you show up in the world.

Turmeric has been used throughout history as a condiment in curry and therapeutically for its healing, anti-inflammatory properties. It has long been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine. Personally speaking, whenever anyone in my house starts to experience a stuffy nose or a cough, I turn to the healing property of turmeric. The yellow/orange pigment in turmeric is called curcumin, which has many healthy properties, but the main one and why it has been popular for centuries is because of its anti-inflammatory health benefits.

Immuni Tea™ Recipe
1 cup filtered water
1 inch fresh ginger, grated
1 inch fresh, grated turmeric or ½ tsp. powdered turmeric
Juice of ½ freshly squeezed lemon
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp. organic local honey
Heat water and turn off before it starts to boil. Pour water into a glass measuring cup and steep ginger and turmeric for 10 minutes. Pour and strain liquid into a cup. Add lemon juice, cayenne, and honey and stir. Drink while hot.
